From its modest beginnings 69 years ago with a handful of youngsters tossing camellia blossoms to the viewers along Las Tunas Drive, the festival now welcomes more than 5,000 children in its parade and attracts 20,000 visitors throughout the weekend.

Kim Sickles will lead this year's festivities as the General Chairman of the 2013 Camellia Festival. ONCE IN A LIFETIME has been selected  as the theme of the 69th Camellia Festival.  Theme winner Eileen Duong will be a guest at the Kick-Off Breakfast and will ride in the Camellia Festival Parade on February 23, 2013.
