Downtown Specific Plan

UPDATED: APRIL 7, 2011

While the City’s General Plan is the primary guide for growth and development, a Specific Plan focuses on a particular area in more detail, organizing land use and zoning regulations. The purpose of the Temple City Downtown Specific Plan is to create a unique and identifiable downtown area that is economically vibrant and pedestrian-oriented. The City’s Downtown Specific Plan is a community-based revitalization plan that provides a comprehensive set of goals, objectives, land uses, infrastructure improvements, development standards and implementation measures to guide the growth and development of the downtown.

The City's Downtown Specific Plan focuses on an area in more detail, organizing land use and zoning regulations by six established districts. These districts are known as the Gateway Commercial (GC) District, West Commercial (WC) District, City Center (CC) District, Temple City Boulevard (TC) District, Residential Commercial (RC) District and East Commercial (EC) District.
