25th Annual Classic Car Show Coming to Temple City Park
Oct. 14 event to feature over 100 vehicles; registration now open for entries.
TEMPLE CITY, CA (Sept. 1, 2017)—Many of the area’s coolest vehicles will soon be on display at Temple City’s 25th annual Classic Car Show.
Scheduled for Oct. 14 from noon to 4 p.m., this year’s show at Temple City Park will be a stand-alone event, meaning it can now feature up to 125 vehicles.
In previous years, the car show was limited to 85 entries when it was held with the city’s Fall Festival.
All cars on display will be pre-1975. Organizers expect a range of vehicles—from Model As and panel trucks to muscle cars and custom rides.
Most entries will include information on the vehicle’s history and restoration process. Attendees can vote for their favorite car and earn a chance to win a prize basket.
More than 20 custom trophies will be awarded including People’s Choice, Mayor’s Pick, Best of Show and Best Featured Vehicle.
Open to the public, the free event also includes live entertainment by ‘60s British Invasion tribute band My Generation and Temple City’s Got Talent winner Krysti Chavez. Kids activities, crafters and BBQ lunch by Jake’s Roadhouse will round out the afternoon.
Pre-sale lunch tickets can be purchased at Live Oak Park Annex for $12.
Exhibitors can pre-register their cars for $30 by Oct. 12; day-of registration will be $40, space permitting. All who register will receive lunch, an event T-shirt, dash plaque, event sticker and a raffle ticket.
