Housing
Updated November 15, 2011

**Please note: as of August 2011, there is currently a waiting list of over 100 residents. Additionally, due to the State's current plan to eliminate the City's Redevelopment Program, the Handyworker Assistance Program has been temporarily suspended.

The Housing program provides Housing Rehabilitation assistance.  The purpose of the Housing Rehabilitation Program is to improve the living conditions of individual homeowners, while at the same time upgrade the general housing stock of the City in order to prevent decay.

Eligible participants in the Housing Rehabilitation Program may receive up to $25,000 for home repairs.  Acceptable improvements could include the repair or replacement of obsolete or non-functioning heating, plumbing, electrical, or structural items in their residence. The loans are set at a simple interest rate of 3%, with no payments due until sale or a change of title.  Eligibility is base upon household size and annual income, which is geared towards low-income households that are owner-occupied single family residences.

If you would like to be added to the City's waiting list, please fill out the form below and send to: Housing Division, 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, CA 91780.
