50th Anniversary Celebration |
|
Temple City will celebrate fifty years as an
incorporated City during 2010! In preparation of the Golden
Anniversary, the City sponsored a theme contest, searching for the
perfect slogan to commemorate 50 years of incorporation. The
selected slogan or theme will be used throughout 2010 in all 50th
anniversary publications. Out of the ninety-two received entries,
The City Council chose a winner from each age category. The
sweepstakes winner "CELEBRATING 50 YEARS AS A COMMUNITY" was
submitted by Dan Arrighi. The other winning entries include,
"Go TC's Golden Camellias" by Florence Liu and "Fifty Years of Fun,
Friends, Family and Future" submitted by teen Christina Chen.
